Archaia Entertainment announced that three of its titles have been selected by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), for the organization’s 2013 Great Graphic Novels for Teens List.
“Cow Boy Vol. 1: A Boy and His Horse” by Nate Cosby and Chris Eliopoulos, “Hopeless Maine Vol. 1: Personal Demons”, by Tom Brown and Nimue Brown, and “Rust Vol. 1: Visitor in the Field” by Royden Lepp were selected as three of the best graphic novels for teen readers ages 12-18.
YALSA is a national association of over 5,200 librarians, library workers, and advocates whose mission is to expand and strengthen library services for teens, aged 12-18. Through its member-driven advocacy, research, and professional development initiatives, YALSA builds the capacity of libraries and librarians to engage, serve and empower teens. The Great Graphic Novels for Teens List contains recommended graphic novels and illustrated nonfiction works and is prepared every year.
