TONY LANDI
The Enemy Within
Kate Miller
The idea that there had to be a psychopath or two among the 50,000 Colonists who survived the Cylon genocide woke Tony Landi up in the middle of the night. He was fascinated by the concept of a psychopath popping up on New Caprica. “What would make somebody like this?” Tony questioned. “What would happen if they were let loose on New Caprica?” The short answer was The Enemy Within, a case study of an imprisoned Colonial psychopath.
A Dallas area computer programmer whose handle is Drifter on the SciFi.com Forums, Tony had never tried to make a movie before. When he first heard that Scifi.com was holding a fan videomaking contest, he briefly mentioned it to his wife and kids, then put it on the back burner. But a few weeks later, Tony’s midnight epiphany led him, with the assistance of his video editor friend, Buddy Broyles, to pound out a script and shoot a video.
“We really got into it,” Tony offered. “The more we did, the more the storyline just built itself.” He added, “It’s been an amazing experience. These videos are a good carryover until season four begins. I can’t wait.”
So say we all, my friend.
