Tom Delay, perhaps inadvertently, provided a refreshing break from the heated political climate that the health care reform debate has created. He put a human face on the party that is not otherwise known for good humor and self-deprecation.
The former Republican House leader made his debut last night with professional dance partner Cheryl Burke on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” and it was an awesomely entertaining sight to behold. Delay, whose nicknamed ‘the Hammer’ in Congress for forcing the Republican party agenda, stiffly danced the cha cha, and wiggled his tuckus to “Wild Thing.” In the dance studio, while preparing for his onstage debut, Burke told Delay to loosen up. He replied: “I need to get prissier?” Wonder what former Senator Larry Craig thinks about his performance?
