Billionaire and liberal philanthropist George Soros is in hot water, but not for allegedly short-selling the dollar after the debt ceiling negotiations and the S & P credit ratings drop. Soros is taking heat from an ex-girlfriend, Adriana Ferreyr, a Brazilian soap actress, who says the fiesty Greek attacked her on several ocassions after heated discussions regarding his backing out of promises to gift to her a $1.9 New York City apartment. Apparently Soros, 80, bought an apartment on East 85th Street for Ferreyr, 28, but before she could move in, he broke up with her, then briefly got back together with her, only to tell her after sleeping with her that he gave the apartment to another woman.
Ferreyr claims Soros slapped her and choked her and threw a glass lamp at her, which cut her foot, after she became agitated by his revelation that he was seeing someone else and that she should leave her bags on the street.
Soros maintains he neither assaulted nor battered Ferreyr, but sources report that there is a police report of the incident, but
