A controversial video of Minister Louis Farrakhan is circulating around the YouTube universe wherein the firebrand calls President Obama out for waging war in Libya and failing to end the war in Afghanistan. Minister Farrakhan admonishes President Obama for essentially becoming a NeoCon war-hawk. “We voted for our brother Barack, a beautiful human being with a sweet heart, and now he’s an assassin,” he says. And with a veiled reference to the Manchurian Candidate theory about President Obama’s conservative behavior, he adds: “They turned him into them.”
Minister Farrakhan also calls attention to the Iraq war, and the assassination of Saddam Hussein over false rumors that the Iraqi leader held weapons of mass destruction. Referencing President Bush II, Farrakhan says, “You talk about a man killing his own people. When you lie to the American people saying that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. When you lie and then take innocent young men who come to serve their country, and send them to die in Iraq and Afghanistan, over lies, that’s a murderer in the White House.”
With support for President Obama eroding due to economic woes in the African-American community and the unpopular and bloody “peace-keeping” missions in Libya, Afghanistan and Iraq, President Obama may have a difficult time reclaiming the White House in 2012.
