ABC’s hit series Revenge returns tonight with an explosive new episode which sets up the chain of events ultimately resulting in Daniel’s shooting. Emily’s plans continue to spiral out of control as she struggles to tame wild cats Amanda and Tyler. Meanwhile, Conrad and Victoria eat their young, using Charlotte as leverage in their divorce.
For the uninitiated, Revenge is the story of Amanda Clarke (Emily VanCamp), a young millionaire who returns home to the Hamptons — under an assumed identity — to take revenge on the people who double-crossed her father, investment banker David Clarke (James Tupper). Accusations of causing a deadly plane crash destroyed Amanda’s family life, leading to her father’s incarceration and her own stint in juvenile detention.
But Amanda’s father left her a ton of money, exculpatory evidence and a journal illuminating what really happened. These assets lead Amanda, now known as Emily Thorne, to the very people who framed her father and ruined her life, and positions her to exact revenge of biblical proportions.
Tonight’s episode, airing at 10/9c, is directed by Jamie Babbit (But I’m a Cheerleader, The Quiet and Itty Bitty Titty Committee)
