We’re in the home stretch with only 2 hours of show time left before Harper’s Island concludes.
So many questions were answered in the last episode, ‘Splash.’ We learned that Wakefield is very much alive, that none of these gun-toting survivors can shoot worth a damn, and that the killer has at least one accomplice: Jimmy, or so it seems.
Recall, hard evidence often pointed to other characters now deceased as being either the killer or an accomplice. We thought Henry’s brother, J.D., was the killer at one point. The question remains, is Jimmy really a killer, or is he merely another hapless victim of really bad circumstances? Perhaps. From what we can gather from the trailer below, it looks like Jimmy’s ‘dying’ to tell Abby something we probably think we already know, but likely don’t.
Sure, we wonder why Jimmy didn’t die in last week’s blast and why Wakefield didn’t kill him at the Cannery showdown. But why would Jimmy want to kill his own brother, Cousin Ed, Uncle Marty or anyone in the wedding party other than Trisha’s dad because he was such a huge wanker, the priest, other townies, Abby’s dad, or that poor deer that bit the dust early on? Whew. That’s a lot of carnage!
Also, remember that, in episode 1, the cab driver who took Abby to the docks had a bloody makeshift bandage over his eye and seemed to know a lot about her and the murders. And let’s not forget the bloody hook near the wedding party’s boat slip and that Cousin Ed got decapitated in Seattle as the boat was taking off.
Does the evidence point to Henry? Isn’t it curious that he’s a really sharp shooter, but can’t seem to shoot Wakefield and regularly pulls Abbey back when she’s hot on Wakefield’s heels.
Maybe Henry and Jimmy are in it with Wakefield. Wakefield said to Abby “I almost died for a woman like you,” and maybe Henry and Jimmy have the same resentment towards other women. Take a look at the recap of episode 11 below and the preview of episode 12, the finale that follows it and tell us what you think.
