Michael Vick Explains How Prison Changed Him

NFL player Michael Vick appeared on CBS’s “60 Minutes” Sunday and explained how prison has changed him. “When I was in prison, I was disgusted, you know, because of what I let happen to those animals,” he said. I could’ve put a stop to it.”

“And that was the reason I cried so many nights,” Vick added. “I should’ve took the initiative to stop it all. I feel so bad about that now. I didn’t step up. I wasn’t a leader.”

The former Atlanta Falcons star completed 18 months in prison for running a dog-fighting operation. During the investigation into Vick’s conduct, it was revealed that he facilitated beating, shooting and electrocuting scores of pit bulls.
