Hell’s Kitchen Taste Test: Ep. 8 Review [Spoilers]

hell's kitchen Tension ran high in this week’s ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ as blue and red team chefs battled it out for the chance to become the executive chef at Ramsay’s new restaurant Araxi in Whister, B.C.

The episode began with a taste test challenge, and the blue team hoped this would be Andy’s forte. They were mistaken. Andy barely avoided elimination last week, and though he had much to prove this week, he failed. The red team triumphed and Andy again came close to being on the chopping block.

The red team had about all they could stand of Suzanne and her ‘know it all’ attitude. They were thrilled when she bombed during dinner service. Through her inability to handle her fish station, Suzanne pulled her entire team down, resulting in defeat for the evening.

Tennille, named by top celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay as the best of the worse, took extreme delight in nominating Suzanne for elimination along with Sabrina, who displayed such a severe lack of consistency that she was booted from the kitchen and forced to eat raw lamb. Always a twist, Ramsay had a nomination of his own and brought Amanda, who appeared to crack under pressure, down to the carpet to face the music.

After listening to the three chefs vying for another chance to prove their worthiness in ‘Hell’s Kitchen,’ Ramsay decided that a defeatist attitude was worse than sending up cold fish and sent Amanda packing.

The Fox show dominated the 8pm hour with the best performance of the night amongst adults 18-49 and earned a 3.2/11 rating, and averaged 7.2 million viewers over all ages.
