Tiger Woods to Play Frys.com Open

Frys.com Open director Ian Knight announced that Tiger Woods has committed to play in the Frys.com Open in October at CordeValle in San Martin, Calif. The event, like others held in the fall, is often filled with players aiming to improve their standing to keep their tour cards for the next year. They’re held at a time when many of the top players take a break from the game. Woods, who has played in only two events since withdrawing from the Players championship in May, will likely use the event to both improve his swing and gather points.
