Demi Moore replaced by Sarah Jessica Parker in Lovelace film

Filmmakers Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman announced that Sarah Jessica Parker will be playing the role of feminist icon Gloria Steinem in the biopic Lovelace, replacing Demi Moore, who dropped out of the film earlier this week due to health concerns.

Moore, who suffered a collapse and was rushed to the hospital Tuesday, said she had decided to “seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health,” according to her publicist.

Lovelace is a biopic about American porn star Linda Boreman, better known as Linda Lovelace and famous for her performance of deep throat fellatio in the enormously successful 1972 hardcore porn film Deep Throat.

Lovelace denounced her pornography career eventually, claiming that she had been forced into it by her first husband, and for a while became a spokeswoman for the anti-pornography movement.
