“Lovin’ Lakin,” a new online comedy series starring child TV star Christine Lakin, is slated to premiere on Hulu and YouTube this month.
“Lovin’ Lakin” is an original webseries mockumentary following Lakin and her comeback to show business. The series chronicles the former “Step By Step” actress as she attempts to provide insight into “how to make it” in Hollywood, with episodes featuring Kristen Bell, Patrick Duffy, Kristin Chenoweth and Seth MacFarlane.
After “Step by Step” was cancelled in 1998, Lakin continued to appear in television movies, such as Showtime’s “Reefer Madness” and 2005’s “Who’s Your Daddy?”. She starred alongside Paris Hilton in the movie “The Hottie and the Nottie” in 2008, requiring extensive makeup to make her appear ugly.
“Lovin’ Lakin” is created by and produced by Christine Lakin and Dave Mahanes. The series is executive produced by Andy Fickman and Betsy Sullenger of Oops Doughnuts Productions. Christine Lakin wrote the series with additional writing on some episodes by Ross Patterson.
All ten episodes will be available at once on Monday, July 16.
