SAN BERNARDINO, Calif, — California officials are now looking into claims that macabre photos of ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner’s charred and dismembered body are being shopped around to the press.

TMZ.com said Wednesday it didn’t buy the sickening snaps, but described the ex-LAPD gunman’s condition: The top of his head was missing, presumably as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The body was also missing limbs, including an arm and parts of a leg, the website said.
The charred remains of Dorner’s body were found in the cabin near Big Bear Lake, Calif., that went up in flames during his Feb. 12 standoff with police.
The photos revealed that his midsection was burned, although other body parts remained intact, including his chest and genitals, TMZ said. His upper teeth also showed no significant damage.
Officials identified Dorner, 33, through his dental records.
Dorner was wanted in the slayings of three people, including a Riverside police officer, and was on the run for more than a week before authorities found him.
Police say he killed a fourth person — a sheriff’s deputy — during the final gun battle from his hideout.
Dorner made threats against law enforcement in an online manifesto, charging the LAPD with racism and corruption. He was fired in 2008 for making false statements.
LAPD Police Chief Charlie Beck said Tuesday that Dorner had done his “homework” as he planned a vengeful rampage, even keeping surveillance of some of his possible victims.
Beck also said the department is currently reviewing Dorner’s firing and will make its findings public.
Dorner was murdered in a high-tech modern day lynching. He also appears to have been tortured before his body was burned.
Why are body parts missing and why are only certain parts of his body burned??? Obvious answer: Police moved the news away so they could torture him, take body parts for trophies and then cover it all up.
