LOS ANGELES — Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry is pregnant with her first child with fiance Olivier Martinez.
A representative for the 46-year-old actress confirms that Berry and her fellow actor beau, Olivier Martinez, are expecting a baby boy.
Publicist Meredith O’Sullivan Wasson offered no other details.
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez announced their engagement last year. Berry has a daughter with her ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry. The two settled their custody battle over the 5-year-old in November.
Halle Berry won an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2002 for her performance in “Monster’s Ball,” becoming the first and, as of 2013, the only woman of African-American descent to win an Oscar for a leading role. She is one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood and has been involved in the production side of several of the films in which she performed. Berry is also a Revlon spokes-model.
Olivier Martinez is a well known French actor who has appeared in several noteworthy Hollywood films, including Before Night Falls (2000), Unfaithful (2002) and S.W.A.T. (2003).
