Louisville Colorado, a small town northwest of Denver, has been named the best place to live by MONEY magazine. Louisville beat out 99 other towns across the country.
The selection of Louisville and other small towns as the best places to live reflects growing concern for jobs and the economic security, according to Money magazine editors. “Louisville is amazing in that. Conoco-Phillips is building a huge facility there, there are a lot of employers in the area – it’s near Boulder, so that’s all great for them,” said Beth Fenner, MONEY’s assistant managing editor, in an interview with 9NEWS 7 a.m.
“We wanted to deliberately do towns of less than 50,000 population,” Fenner said. “Because everybody knows about the New Yorks and Chicagos – you don’t really need someone to tell you what makes them good or bad; but these (smaller cities) are – there’s some discovery here for people,” she added.
According to Money magazine, Louisville is the best place to live because of its access to outdoor recreation, particularly 30 miles of trails, and its close proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park.
