Sanctuary has returned to Syfy with a vengeance. Last week’s opener, “Kali Part 3,” is riveting. But new viewers should also take a look at season two, which leads Helen and her team into the chaos of the “Kali” trilogy.
In our third favorite episode of season two, Druitt rescues a group of Empaths from a sinking ship off the coast of South Africa. But, his old slasher/Ripper tendencies have returned and he can’t stop himself. He even tries to kill Magnus. Of course, Magnus prevails. She kills Druitt. But then she revives him, unleashing an energy creature, which had been the continuing cause of Druitt’s insanity.
The creature attempts to kill everyone so that it may spread, but the team springs into action, forces the creature back into Druitt, and allowing Druitt to teleport away ‘with no destination in mind’ in a final act of sacrifice for the greater good.
