Although a crack pipe was found next to his body, an autopsy is now underway to determine what caused DJ AM’s death. His body was removed from his Manhattan apartment late last night after he was found dead yesterday afternoon.
In addition to the crack pipe, prescription medication was found near his body. DJ AM had a history of substance abuse or drug addiction, and he claimed to be have been clean and sober for nine years now. But according to reports, he was “devastated” over his recent breakup with a girlfriend.
