Man, Tyler sure knows how to take the fun out of a werewolf fantasy. The guy complains and screams in agony the whole time he’s transforming. What a drag! And it takes hours, apparently, to complete the first transformation. Of course, it helps that he’s shirtless throughout. Thankfully, he’s got his new gal pal Caroline to lend moral support. But from the looks of previews for next month’s episode, that moral support could turn into something more.
Elsewhere, yet another creature, Jules, pops into Mystic Falls. She’s looking for Mason. She’s a wolf-girl and so Damon springs into homicidal maniac mode. But this girl is crafty and calls Damon’s number early on. She doesn’t fall for his wolf-poison trick and sets out to kill him before he can kill her. Instead, she ends up biting his new lover.
Meanwhile, Bonnie, in a shocking display of gullibility, trusts new kid Luca to help her break the moon-rock spell. He dupes her, per his dad’s instructions. And finally, Elijah stops by the Mystic Falls ‘convention’ to reveal that he’s there to protect Elena from the alpha vampire. Elena sees an opening to protect her loved ones, and agrees to play ball, but only if Elijah frees Stefan from the tomb he and Katherine are trapped in. Elijah agrees and Elena and Stefan are reunited.
