CBS has Vapors over ‘Sins of the Flesh’ Telecast at 2013 Grammys

Tonight is Grammys night and as we all know, CBS is very concerned about upsetting the sensibilities of its delicate and pensive viewership by showing too much human flesh, popularly know by hip urbanites as T & A.

To make sure that we, the at-home audience, won’t be seeing anything that our parents forgot to tell us about, earlier this week, Deadline  got its intrepid little hands on a ‘Wardrobe Advisory’ letter received by Grammys participants in advance of the 55th Annual Grammy broadcast, set to air on CBS at 8:00 pm ET/PT.pink grammys nude

CBS urges participants to “Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible “puffy” bare skin exposure”

Keep in mind that this is the same network that apparently had no issues airing the Grammy nod and accompanying standing ovation for infamous lady beater Chris Brown, at the last Grammys telecast; or with Pink’s performing transparent flesh suit at the 2010 showing.  Where was the concern for our delicate sensibilities then?

Well, as Elizabeth Taylor famously said, CBS is a woman, and “it’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind, buy cheap perfume and have the dithers over a flash of cleavage.”
